Cajun Magic Shrimp Recipe, by Mak Jones

- 1 cup butter
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 minced cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon thyme
- ½ teaspoon rosemary
- ¼ teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pound large shrimp
- ½ cup chicken broth (4 ounces)
- ½ cup beer (4 ounces, or a third of a can)
- 1 loaf French bread or cooked white rice, for serving
- In a skillet, melt half of the butter and add in the onion and next 9 ingredients in the list (down to the shrimp).
- Cook for 1 minute, stirring continuously. Now mix in the leftover butter and chicken broth.
- Cook for 2 to 5 minutes and stir in the beer.
- Now, continue cooking for 2 minutes until the shrimp is an opaque pink and white. Serve on a bed of rice, or with French bread.
