Mediterranean Feta & Ground Turkey Orzo

Not crazy about ground turkey? Swap it out for ground beef or lamb (or crumbled tofu!) instead.
Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ small white onion
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14 ounces)
  • ½ box orzo
  • ½ package of feta cheese (or as much as you want)
Instructions
  1. Brown the ground turkey, garlic and onion over medium heat, seasoning it with the cinnamon and oregano. Once the onions are translucent and the meat is no longer pink, drain any excess grease and stir in the diced tomatoes. Turn heat to medium low, stirring occasionally.
  2. In a separate pot, cook the orzo according to the package's instructions. Drain, then toss with the tomato and ground beef mixture. Sprinkle in the feta and stir until evenly combined.
