Cajun Magic Shrimp Recipe, by Mak Jones

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 minced cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon thyme
  • ½ teaspoon rosemary
  • ¼ teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pound large shrimp
  • ½ cup chicken broth (4 ounces)
  • ½ cup beer (4 ounces, or a third of a can)
  • 1 loaf French bread or cooked white rice, for serving
Instructions
  1. In a skillet, melt half of the butter and add in the onion and next 9 ingredients in the list (down to the shrimp).
  2. Cook for 1 minute, stirring continuously. Now mix in the leftover butter and chicken broth.
  3. Cook for 2 to 5 minutes and stir in the beer.
  4. Now, continue cooking for 2 minutes until the shrimp is an opaque pink and white. Serve on a bed of rice, or with French bread.
